Popperode Fountain House
Do you have a wish that is yet to be fulfilled in life? Then you should definitely plan a visit to the Popperode Fountain House in Mühlhausen, because legend has it that wishes come true here.
At the bottom of the small pool, between water lilies and wilted flowers coins glitter in the Popperode well. According to the legend, they make wishes come true. The old well house and the amphitheatre-like well spring tapping are also well worth a visit for those of a less superstitious nature. Built in 1614 in Renaissance style, today it is the perfect starting point for an extended walk around the Schwanenteich pond and is one of the finest springs in Thuringia.
