Schwanenteich
From May to September visitors can get particularly close to the swans that gave this pond on the outskirts of Mühlhausen its name, as this is the boating season.
When the wind drives small waves from shore to shore and the gleeful cries of children are heard from the playground a visit to the Schwanenteich is a bit like a holiday in the south - in the heart of Thuringia. From May to September rowing boats and pedal boats can be hired for excursions onto the water. Several hiking and cycle paths lead to destinations such as the Popperode well. The camp site with its 40 pitches for caravans and tent area is the perfect starting point.
