Haineck Cycle Path

On your way through the Nature Park – between half-timbered houses and the Hainich National Park

The Haineck Cycle Path is a cycle path of about 14 km length. It leads through the valley of the Lämpertsbach from the Grundmühle near Ebenshausen via Nazza to the Ritzenhausen swimming pool in Hallungen.

Attractions like the Haineck castle ruin and the half-timbered houses in Hallungen line the Haineck Cycle Path. The ruin offers a fantastic view over the Hainich. With only a few ascents, the cyclists reach the idyllic village of Hallungen. At the exit of the village, a tempting outdoor swimming pool is situated at the foot of the wooded Hainich slopes. A winding route brings you to Heyerode, the gateway to the Eichsfeld. Here you can join the Unstrut-Werra Cycle Path which connects Mühlhausen and Treffurt.
