Over a length of 215 km, the varied Herkules-Wartburg Cycle Path extends with countless attractions. Taking a break for a few days and coming rather close to the natural and cultural landscape.
The cycle path connects the landmark of the city of Kassel, the Herkules, with the Wartburg near Eisenach. The main route leads from Kassel along the Losse via Kaufungen and Helsa to Hessisch Lichtenau. Via Waldkappel, the trail continues to Ringgau, Creuzburg, Hörschel and Eisenach. Shorter distances are also possible. Extensive parks, old castles and original river landscapes can be detected and cyclists should not miss to enjoy the circular route through the World Heritage Region with its numerous attractions.
