Root Cave and Canopy Walkway

Wurzelhöhle bij het boomkroonpad

The name says it all – Root Cave (Wurzelhöhle). Because the new attraction provides information and interesting facts round the topic of roots, soil, humus and trees.

Directly next to the entrance of the National Park Centre at the Canopy Walkway, a barrier-free, downward leading ramp gives the impression of entering a cave. The visitors will find a multimedia exhibition in mystic surroundings with tangible models, peepholes, animations and interactive screens. In the exhibition section "Creatures of the Dark", the inner life of a fist full of soil shall be simulated. The Root Cave thus also answers questions by children in which each adult will be interested, as well.
