Bummelkuppen Trail in the Hainich National Park

This circular trail starts at the parking lot “Harsberg” near Lauterbach. The trail’s symbol is a beech leave.

You first follow the “Hohe Straße”, a historic trade route. At the “Mülverstedter Kreuz” you turn right to the edge of the slope and then down to the Kalkgrund.

Most of the way, the altogether 7 km long trail runs through beautiful beech forests. It is well-developed and can be walked in approx. 2 hours.
