Nature Park Path Leine-Werra

Naturparkweg Leine Werra

Qualitätsweg

Vigorous climbs, gentle valleys, sparse plateaus and lush river landscapes - scarcely any other hiking trail is as varied as the Nature Park Path Leine-Werra, which has even been granted the quality path seal of approval from the German Hiking Association.

The Nature Park Path Leine-Werra offers a relaxing break in one of the most beautiful parts of Germany. A total of 98 kilometres in length, the route leads through the Nature Park Eichsfeld-Hainich-Werratal, along the former East-West German border, to the edge of the Hainich. Divided into five one-day sections, the tour offers ample opportunity to view traditional timber-framed buildings, Medieval castles and romantic pilgrimage chapels. And at the end, the Wartburg is practically just around the corner.
