The nightingale, this inconspicuous bird with its wonderful singing, has given its name to this trail. Anybody who has once walked here in spring with open ears will no longer ask for its origin.
The trail has a length of 2.5 km and has been constructed in an environmentally friendly way. It can comfortably be walked in 1 hour. Starting from the parking lot “Kindel“, the trail exclusively runs over the open spaces of the Kindel, the southern part of the Hainich. We particularly recommend to experience this circular trail in the early morning hours or at dusk. Particularly bird watchers will never grow tired of discovering new things here.
