The view into the picturesque Werratal from the Creuzburg near Eisenach fascinates all visitors. The well-preserved Romanesque construction sits enthroned over the 1,200 year-old, idyllic small town of Creuzburg.
Whether during canoe camping or on the Werratal cycle path – the castle of the Thuringian Landgrave is an eye-catcher. Since 1223, the Werra bridge, constructed with seven arches from natural stone, has crossed the river. The oldest natural stone bridge north of the Main River together with the Liborius Chapel are under a preservation order. Culinary delights can be enjoyed when visiting the Saline Wilhelmsglücksbrunn. The farm shop sells biological cheese from in-house production and the Saline Restaurant convinces with its seasonal and regional cuisine.
